A breeze hit the trees
picking up some leaves
then threw 'em through the air
and carried one up high
I wasn't really sure,
but I'd seen it in my eye
the leaf became a bird
and then began to fly
with flapping wings and feathers,
it flew up close to me
and told me I could do the same
if only I believed-
that leaves
could turn into the birds
I thought my eyes deceived me
and dismissed it as absurd
the bird became a leaf again
and quit it's aviation-
as just another figment
of my imagication...

Haven't you ever seen something in the corner of your eye and thought it was something else? My mind does this a lot, so I ponjured up this poem.
