Seein' Stars

Fall back to this carnal rock
alarm clock screams
intrude into the lucid dreams
Awake and break the sweet sojourn
and join the old routine of morning
Take a leak, relief is warm

flush the steamy water clearer
check the mirror, for the aura
bluish-green aquamarine
with a little splash of orange

Step outside and scry the sky
starlights fly right by my eyes
like bugs at night surrounding lamps
they whirl and swirl around in dance

Glance at the gal with the curious stare
her eyes are felt through unseen air
she looks away as if she's caught
we're both aware of our shared thought

Have you ever felt the sight of others?
have you seen the light they bring?
do you hear the heartbeat sing,
and follow it's endeavors?

Go back to sleep, pull up the covers,
wait and see what we discover
eyelids close like lovely clover
when the day is close to over

One time I saw my friend's aura, and I wasn't sure I was seeing the correct color so I asked him what color he thought it was. Immediately he answered with the exact same color I was seeing. I have been convinced ever since that the human eye can see much more than we think it can. Did you know you can see your white blood cells? Just look up at a bright blue sky and let your eyes lose focus. You might start seeing little stars fly around, which are your hemoglobin reflecting sunlight.
